Lacemaker's Lace

A book in a local supermarket had a photograph of a lovely Greengrocer Cicada on the cover which absolutely cried out to be converted into lace. I used Gutterman's 100/3 silk, various colours and thicknesses of metallic threads and beads to recreate this photograph in lace and mounted it on a piece of bark. Size approximately 3 ins x 5 ins (7.5 cms x 12.5 cms).
